2026 SHOE FITTINGS

This year we are so incredibly fortunate to welcome back the experienced Vanessa from Ballet Emporium who will be at the DANCE1 Studio for ALL our dance shoe needs!
Ballet Emporium will be available at the DANCE1 Studio during the above times on Thursday 29th, Friday 30th and Saturday 31st January to professionally size and fit all students requiring shoes for 2026.
New Shoes will ONLY be available during these times and
payment will be made directly to Ballet Emporium.
Shoes purchased by Ballet Emporium will be available on the day depending on size/stock OR will be delivered to your dancer in their classes within two weeks of ordering.
SECOND-HAND SHOES
DANCE1 has an extremely limited supply of second-hand shoes after a busy year of fittings and we haven't yet replenished the full range of sizes. We've brought Vanessa in for an extra day of fittings to give all families the option to purchase shoes new.
If you are considering purchasing second-hand shoes, we recommend sourcing these prior to to the start of classes.
You may wish to explore the following options:

Local Facebook Marketplace or community buy/sell/swap groups

Dance specific buy/sell Facebook groups

Asking friends or older dancers who may have outgrown shoes.
CAN’T MAKE IT TO SHOE FITTINGS?
Dance shoes may also be purchased from any BLOCH store. If you wish to purchase your shoes in person at BLOCH, please ensure that they look up the DANCE1 shoe details and take this information with you so that you buy the right style of shoes for your child’s class.

IMPORTANT UNIFORM INFO
All DANCE1 students must wear the proper DANCE1 uniform to every class. The DANCE1 uniform is ONLY stocked by D1 and displays our logo. Additional items may be purchased during the year BUT this is subject to stock availability.
We STRONGLY suggest where possible purchasing all uniform pieces now (including Winter Uniform). There will also be new uniform items available that will ONLY be stocked at the start of the year.
Please be aware that some DANCE1 clothing items may take up to four weeks to arrive. To help speed up the fitting process we recommend bringing old uniform items along to size. In 2026, DANCE1 will have a limited amount of second-hand uniform pieces for sale. To take advantage of these options, we encourage families to visit the Uniform Fitting Days as early as possible.
UNIFORM REFRESH: BLACK & GOLD AT HEART
As DANCE1 continues to grow, we are excited to share that from 2026 we will be transitioning to a refreshed uniform look. Our much-loved Burgundy for our Kindy - Year 6 students will be retired as we step into a new era in our original DANCE1 colours of black and gold.
Burgundy will always hold a special place in our DANCE1 history, and to honour this, we will be implementing a two-year transition period. During this time, dancers may continue to wear approved burgundy uniform pieces as outlined.
To support families during this transition, DANCE1 will still be accepting second-hand uniform donations of burgundy pieces throughout 2026 to help match dancers where needed.
By 2028, DANCE1 will be back to black and during this transition more information will become available about uniform pieces.

THE DANCE1 UNIFORM IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL DANCERS.
It is expected that dancers have the correct uniform & shoes for all classes. Dancers who do not have the appropriate attire will be unable to participate safely.
PRE-LOVED SHOES & UNIFORM
DANCE1 accepts donations of second-hand or ‘pre-loved’ uniform and shoes. This is an opportunity for our existing families to donate any pre-loved uniform or shoe items to DANCE1 (not-for-profit).
These items can be donated during Uniform Fittings at the above times, with the opportunity to browse and purchase any donations that we have in stock during the week.
DANCE1 can only accept the following items:
* Burgundy Leotards (must be DANCE1 branded)
* Black Leotards
* Black DANCE1 Shorts (must be DANCE1 branded)
* Burgundy Skirts - full circle or wrap
* Burgundy DANCE1 Crossovers (must be DANCE1 branded)
* Black DANCE1 Full Length Leggings (must be DANCE1 branded)
* Jazz Shoes (Tan Leather Split Sole)
* Ballet Shoes (Pink Leather)
* Tap Shoes (Tan Buckle Low Heel)
* Chorus Heels (Tan Buckle)
Please note that all donated DANCE1 items MUST be in
good condition (with no holes or loose threads).
All uniform MUST be washed prior to donating and where
possible should be donated in a single bag.
